St. Paul’s Lutheran School offers a wide array of academic programs, after school activities, supplemental care, hot lunch program and more. Please review all that we have to offer. We are sure that you will see that St. Paul’s excels in more than academic excellence.

Programs

St. Paul’s Lutheran School (SPLS) is nationally accredited from National Lutheran School Accreditation. We offer the highest quality Christian education for students in kindergarten through grade 8. We have a rich tradition of academic excellence which is provided by a dedicated, caring and professional faculty.

With advanced work in all curricular areas, strong MAPS results (the average SPLS student scores in the top 20th percentile nationally) and a challenging grading scale, our students are well-prepared for high school and beyond.

Biblical Approach

At St. Paul’s Lutheran School we are committed to teaching the truth of Jesus Christ using a Biblical worldview in all our instruction. We integrate the Christian faith into every part of the school day. Where so many schools are being influenced by external movement, our schools teaches children that their identity is rooted in the fact that they are created in God’s image for His purpose. From the lunchroom to the playground, from the music room to the gymnasium, we teach, model, and practice the faith.

We aspire to be a regional leader in academics and Christian service and to prepare our students to live in the world as excellent, involved citizens and as bold witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Children who attend our school know that Jesus loves them so much that He died to forgive their sins, and He is making a place for them in heaven someday. Using the Bible as our guide, we help our students see their place in this world and how God uses each of us to make it a better place.

Outdoor Education

St. Paul’s also offers many outdoor education activities – from local lake and environmental studies to week long camping opportunities. Our 5th, 6th, and 7th graders head to Camp Luther in Three Lakes each May for a three-night stay of outdoor activities, bible study and fun.

Our 8th grade students’ class trip is to South Dakota in the early fall of the year. The students tent camp for a week in the Badlands and Custer State Park.

The purpose of this extended field trip is threefold. First, much time is spent on team building and leadership training through Bible Study and various outdoor education activities. Secondly, the location of this trip provides a rich source of field experiences in earth and life sciences and history. There is ample opportunity to reinforce history and science classes by visiting various natural landforms and historical sites in South Dakota. Finally, relationships are strengthened through interaction with classmates, teachers, and especially with our Lord Jesus Christ.

St. Paul’s is a high-achieving Christ-centered school that teaches Biblical Truth throughout every subject. Our Growth Mindset means that we continuously work towards growing our faith, knowledge, and talents as we become mature in Christ. All of this is done in Service to one another through our Family Culture. Our certified classroom and resource teachers are present aily to provide support for students in the classroom and small group intervention instruction in the resource room. We work with the Oconomowoc Area School District, Lutheran Counseling & Family Services of Wisconsin and consult with Journeys Lutheran School o provide these additional services:

St. Paul’s Lutheran School also participates in Wisconsin’s Special Needs Scholarship Program.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School is blessed to be able to offer our families an outstanding hot lunch program. The meals are made on sight, well-balanced, and are free from many of the processed foods that are found in other school lunch programs.

Each family has the opportunity to purchase these homemade meals for their children through a pre-pay program.

Our staff loves to get student feedback on their favorite meals and will often create special ‘themed’ lunches for different times of the year. The staff also works to bring a health-conscious attitude to our students through their commitment to quality foods.

Our lunch program is yet another feature of the excellence we provide in our overall educational experience.

St. Paul’s Extended Care program is a fully supervised before and after school program that is available for our students and families.

Students have the opportunity for physical exercise and activities in the gym or on the playground, special art projects, study time and social time with their peers. An afternoon snack is also provided for a small fee, or you can bring a snack from home.

Extended Care may be offered during non-school days during the school year, depending on attendance; it is not available for snow days or holidays.

The Morning Care program is offered free to all students on a drop-in basis. The Extended Care program after school is a pay-as-you-go program that is offered as a special service for St. Paul’s Lutheran School families. Student sign up each day in the morning to attend Extended Care in the afternoon.
