Dominican Republic Ministry

Along with LCMS International Mission, Bethesda, and the English District, South Wisconsin District support the growing work in the Dominican Republic, led by Pastor Ted Krey. Teams have helped with construction projects, outreach endeavors, and the growing school ministry in Palmar Arriba. A new preschool in Licey (lee-SAY) is also a worship site, and a rented space in Santiago has become a center for worship and a satellite site for Lutheran Hour Ministries. Pastor Willy Gaspar, the first Dominican Lutheran pastor, serves in the capitol of Santa Domingo. A new seminary has opened and will serve Latin America. A growing number of pastors and deaconesses from the U.S. and Latin America serve these ministries in the Dominican Republic. As this ministry grows, more and more support is needed for the many missionaries. For more information go to www.lcms.org/dominicanrepublic
