The catechumen will need to bring to each class:
- Bible (English Standard Version)
The ESV is the translation of our LCMS hymnal and the standard translation in use for worship, curriculum, etc. St. Paul’s school students purchase the Faith Alive Student Bible (ESV) (St. Louis: CPH, 2011). Copies are available from the church office for approximately $26. Please call office for latest price.
2. Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation (ESV)
We recommend the version with the ESV explanation notes, since this translation matches the Bible they are using in class. Copies can be purchased from the office for about $15. Please call the office for latest price.
3. Writing utensil
Many classes will involve taking notes, quizzes, etc. We recommend a pencil.
