By her persistent prayer that Jesus would have mercy and help her, and even in the face of His initial silence and apparent rejection, the Canaanite woman boldly confessed her faith in Him. Her beautiful example encourages us to cling to the words and promises of the Gospel which are for all people.  Jesus died for all, Jew and Gentile, no matter your upbringing or where you come from. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith.” (Ephesians 2:8a)
