In this Gospel lesson, John 13:31-35, Jesus says, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” This tells us that genuine faith in Christ shows itself in brotherly love. But what exactly does that mean? The word love can be very broad in its meaning. What Jesus is talking about here is His sacrificial love which sets a much higher standard than ever before. This is a love so great that it should guide our every action. We will discuss how to put this love into action in our everyday life, through Jesus’ infinite love for us, given to us through His death and resurrection.
